Crumball Rally 2019
Some of the Brodie Engineering team are taking part in the Crumball Rally this weekend which will have them drive from Reims, France to Venice, Italy via the Swiss Alps. The organisers describe the driving tour as a trip to remember driving on some of Europe’s finest roads, in some of Europe’s worst cars as ‘bangers’ under £200 or ‘ragtops’, 2 seater convertible with an engine size of no more than 2.5 litres are encouraged.
“Diamonds might be forever but your car certainly won’t last that long as you can only spend up to £200, so it is a bit of an endurance event.” – Organisers of the event
This year, the rally is themed around the Bond films, so the route will feature some of the memorable locations from some of the films along with many more on the way to Venice. There are also tasks and fun challenges along the way to keep everyone entertained and there are prizes for teams with the highest scores from the daily challenges. Their number one rule - there is no prize for arriving at the final destination first.
Many teams do the rally in aid of a charity and this year, both Brodie Engineering teams are raising money for Cervical Cancer.
A great opportunity to raise money for a great charity and we all wish both teams the best of luck!
