SPT (Glasgow Subway) Long Welded Rail Train
Brodie Engineering has developed from concept through to detailed design the Long Welded Rail (LWR) train for SPT Glasgow Subway to assist with their infrastructure maintenance. Before this project, SPT Glasgow Subway only had capabilities to deliver 13-metre lengths of rail while carrying out infrastructure maintenance. This Long Welded Rail (LWR) train will allow for SPT Glasgow Subway to now deliver up to 60-metre lengths of rail rather than the previous 13 metres.
