Cross Country Class 170 Repair
27/04/2021
Brodie Engineering has recently completed a major repair to Cross-Country unit 170107, which had experienced significant damage.
Further to inspecting the train and working in conjunction with the Cross-Country team to transport the unit by road, extensive repair work was undertaken at Brodie Engineering’s Caledonia Works. This included replacement of the glass reinforced plastic cab font, replacement of the driver’s door, header gear and door pillar, repair of the leading car solebar and replacement of bodysides on all three vehicles. Additionally, the vehicle interiors were rebuilt, with the train fully tested in preparation for redelivery.
The work was completed successfully, safely and on time. This project further enhances the excellent collaborative working relationship that has been developed with Cross-Country.
